I finally found time to blog! I made this layout this weekend but was just able take a decent photo. It's so dark and grey here. I miss sunshine!

That's me and my cousin in that picture. We are such good friends, just like sisters.

Speaking of friends, I once again started watching Friends from the start. That's just one of the best sitcoms ever made. I have to share three famous quotes from that TV show that just make me laugh:

The story of revisiting a special place

A couple of weeks ago we decided to visit the park where our wedding photos were taken. Over 3 years ago we were on that same place before the church. The place looked completely different now compared to that summer day. I still like this picture, it's rough but it has some light too.

I had the idea to create a layout about our journey from our wedding day to the day when this photograph was taken. I used the rub-ons from Crate Paper. Now that I look at this finished layout, the only thing I see is grey. I can promise you that the first three years of marriage haven't been grey and boring like this layout!

The story of an autumn photoshoot

A couple of weeks ago I convinced my husband to do a small autumn photoshoot with me. It was such a beautiful day that I just had to go out and take some pictures.

I always have some silly photo ideas and poses for my husband. This time I was able to get him to throw some leaves to the air while I tried to snap a picture. That picture turned out to be a funny one as it just looks like he is waving to the camera :) I'm so happy that he plays along with my whims!

The story of choosing to focus on happy things

This autumn has been a bit tough for me. There has been things that hasn't been working out as planned and I've been sad about it. Still I find myself to be a positive person and maybe because of that I wanted to make a list of the things I'm really happy about right now.

I'm happy about

• that Gilmore Girls are on Netflix. I just love that show and I can watch it over and over again.
• my job. I love the new challenges my new job has brought me.
• that my mom liked the mixed media canvas I gave her for birthday present.
• friends and family. I have a great bunch of lovely people near me that I can count on happy and tough times.
• that my husband is a great cook and he makes me yummy food every day.
• all the new friends that I have made through this hobby. 
• that I can start planning Christmas stuff. I love to give presents and I hope I can find the perfect gifts this year for everyone. Gladly I have already some great ideas!
• the happy mail I got some time ago. I can't wait to share it with you!
• that I can start to think what I could wish for Christmas. I can say that I have a lot of scrapbooking stuff that I would like to have as I haven't really bought anything since last May!

Attitude counts. You can choose how you want to feel. I choose happy.

The story of picking berries

One of my favorite things in summer is to eat berries straight from the bush. I love strawberries, redcurrants and wild strawberries.

The problem is that with wheelchair, it's kind of hard picking the berries. So I'm always trying to convince my husband to do it for me. And he hates picking berries. But once in a while he does it and I can enjoy fresh berries <3

The story of the perfect picture from New York

I love New York City. Period. We have been there three times and I can't wait to visit there again. There's something magical about that city.

Last May we were there for couple of days. I loved the spring there. Contrast between the big city and the nature was so cool. My husband took that photo when we were walking around the city. I think it captures perfectly the mood: a tree full of flowers in the middle of skyscrapers.

As the subway there isn't the most accessible (there's only some stations with elevators), we have walked so much there. But that's the perfect way to see the different sides of that city. On that day when that photo was taken, we walked along the shore line of Manhattan for almost 15 kilometres. It was such a beautiful day.

The story of welfie's

Right now I'm nervous. Yesterday I posted about a change I want to do on this blog: share more stories and be more open. I want that the texts show more of my personality. Let's see if can keep my promise in this first post.

This layout is actually a story about welfie's. As we don't have kids, usually it's either me or my husband in our pictures. Lately I've been pushing my husband to take "welfie's" with me so that we could have pictures of us together. Maybe he thinks we are too grownup for that, but I love it. Maybe I still have a bit of a teenager inside of me. I tried to convince him by saying that "WElfies improve my WEllbeing". And I got the welfie I wanted.

Shop 'til u drop + video

Hi there! It's been too long since I made a start to finish scrapbooking video. Finally I had a free weekend and I filmed two videos for you. Today I will show you the first one, hopefully you'll like it!

I made this layout using materials from Gossamer Blue's September kit. I just love those papers and stickers from Crate Paper. This layout tells about a shopping day we had when we visited Philadelphia on our last vacation. Just outside the city there was this huge shopping center. I think it is one of the biggest mall's in the world and I can say it was literally a "shop 'til u drop" kind of day!

Käytin tässä videossa Gossamer Bluen syyskuun kittiä. Tykkään niin noista Crate Paperin papereista ja tarroista! Tämä sivu kertoo shoppailupäivästä Philadelpian ulkopuolella olleessa ostoskeskuksessa. Kävimme siellä viime keväänä lomallamme. Tuo ostoskeskus oli aivan valtava! Tietääkseni se on yksi maailman isoimpia ja en ole koskaan nähnyt niin isoa ostoskeskusta. Se oli kuin Jumbo ja keskustan Stockmann kertaa kymmenen (jos sekään riittää)!

Hello Darling

This is my fourth layout using Gossamer Blue's August kit. I really get the idea behind kit clubs: it's so fast to work with limited supplies that already coordinate so well together. In these four layouts I have used pretty much just the products from the main kit and I easily made four layouts!

Tämä on jo neljäs sivuni Gossamer Bluen elokuun kitistä. Näiden sivujen tekemisen aikana olen jotenkin tajunnut kit clubien idean: on niin helppoa ja nopeaa tehdä sivuja rajatulla määrällä tavaroita, jotka sopivat väreiltään valmiiksi toisiinsa. Näissä leiskoissa olen käyttänyt oikeastaan pelkästään pääkittiä eikä omaan varastoon ole tarvinnut turvautua!

This layout tells about how on our third wedding anniversary my husband had bought me flowers. I love to have fresh flowers at home and he doesn't get that so it was special that he had the flowers at home when I came from work. He's the best <3

Tämä sivu kertoo kukkakimpusta, joka odotti minua kotona, kun tulin töistä kolmantena hääpäivänämme. Minusta on kiva, että kotona on silloin tällöin leikkokukkia, mutta mieheni ei oikein ymmärrä miksi, joten oli ihanaa, kun hän oli hankkinut kimpun oma-aloitteisesti <3

Sunkissed

When I saw this paper in the Gossamer Blue kit I knew that I needed to use this picture. It has the same bokeh sunflair feeling. A real sunkissed picture!

Kun näin tuon paperin Gossamer Bluen kitissä, tiesin, että minun on käytettävä juuri tuota kuvaa. Siinä auringonvalo osuu kameraan luoden samanlaisen efektin kuin tuossa paperissa. Ihana kesäinen kuva!

Strawberry fields

Last Sunday I had a pleasure to scrap in wonderful company! Riikka, Terhi and Taru came to visit and we enjoyed scrapping all day long. It was such a perfect day with friends! This is one of the layouts I made on that day. I can't actually believe that I was able to make 6 layouts in a day! I wanted to make layouts with my Gossamer Blue kit. I just love that woodgrain paper!

Viime sunnuntaina minulla oli ilo skräpätä loistavassa seurassa! Riikka, Terhi ja Taru tulivat meille ja skräppäsimme lähes koko päivän. Se oli täydellinen päivä ystävien seurassa! Tämä on yksi niistä kuudesta leiskasta, jonka tein tuolloin. En voi uskoa, että sain noin monta leiskaa tehtyä yhtenä päivänä! Tämä sivu on tehty pelkästään Gossamer Bluen kitillä!
