Paper Camellia: Travel log

Here is my last layout with Paper Camellia's June kit. A bit unusual layout for me, don't you think? A lot of journaling and 10 pictures!

The inspiration for this layout came from the Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy Number paper clips that were included in the Paper Camellia's June Embellishment add-on kit. I wanted to create a list of some sort and as I’m eagerly waiting for our next vacation I decided to create a travel log of our recent trips.

Behind the paper clips I layered circles that were cut from the Pink Paislee’s patterned paper. As I wanted the journaling to be the main focus of this layout I created a banner from the pictures. This way I was able to include all my favorite travel photos to one layout.

What is your record when it comes to number of pictures in one layout? 10 pictures is it for me!

In The Scrap: Layout with confetti

Last week I had a tutorial up in the "In The Scrap" blog. This time I wanted to create a layout featuring confetti! You can create the confetti using a regular office hole punch!

Here is the final layout and some closeups. If you want to see the full tutorial, you can see it from here

Paper Camellia: Lovely life

If I’m being totally honest I had hard time with this layout. The basic components (papers, title and photo) were easy to put together but adding the embellishments was tricky! The papers and title I chose were so monocromatic that I didn’t know right away what embellishments to add. And then the ”Here’s the story” paper from Chickaniddy Crafts came to rescue! Adding the paper strips with short sentiments just brought the whole layout together!

Here is the Paper Camellia's June sketch:

Family Portraits: May

Another month finished at my Family Portraits album! Here are my pages for May.

Again, I kept the pocket pages really simple. As papers, I used the printables from Cat File Store. I used some wood veneers and stickers as my embellishments. The journaling is printed in vellum, just like last month.

Using frames as a main design element

I love using frames in my layouts. It’s just an easy way to bring shape and interest to a page!

In this layout I used the frames from Pink Paislee as my main design element. There were four frames included in the Paper Camellia's main scrapbook kit’s chipboard sticker pack and I used them all in this layout. As you can see, there seems to be more frames than four: the trick is to cut some of the frames and place them to the edge of the paper.

Lovely & Delicate - International Online Scrapbook Workshop

I'm super excited to let you know that I'm one of the contributors in the "Lovely & Delicate" online scrapbook workshop!
And here are the designers:

The workshop starts on 25th of June and you can already register here!

Season of flowers

Happy Sunday! Today I want to share you a layout I created for Cat File Store using their printables and cut files. I just loved the row of hearts cut file combined with the "season of flowers" printable!

Have you noticed that Cat File Store / Family Portraits has started to make physical products too? How cool!

As you have probably noticed, I have loved using Elle's Studio's Cienna collection. The colors are just perfect for spring and summer!

In The Scrap: June challenge

New challenge is posted in "In The Scrap" blog! This time the goal is to use arrows and here is my take!

I used paper with arrows and gold foam arrows from Pink Paislee.

I just love how the title goes together with the flower cluster!

SATW: June challenge with a mood board compiled by me!

June is a special month for me when it comes to Scrap Around The World: I compiled the mood board! How cool is that! See the full revel from here.

As you can see, I chose some of my favorite colors: peach, mint and gold (and don't forget the white either!). But Scrap Around The World isn't a color challenge. You can use any colors you like, just be inspired by the mood board! For example, I was inspired by the chevron print, flowers and the quote.

And with this layout you can see that I have cut my hair short! Back to my old style (the last time I had short hair was about 12 years ago).

This was also my last layout as SATW DT! I had a fun 6 months with the team.

Make sure you enter this challenge so that I can see your takes on the mood board!

Paper Camellia: June reveal

I can't believe it's June already! Time just flies so fast! New month means a new Paper Camellia reveal. Make sure you check the full reveal from their blog!

Here is my first layout with the June kit. This was made with the main scrapbooking kit. A simple grid layout with pretty embellishments :)

I have re-organized my scrap room this spring. I got a new desk and shelves from IKEA. The hard thing was to figure out how to store my papers until I finally found a solution: Kvissle letter tray turned on it's side! Perfect! Now I just need to figure out if I should organize the papers by color or manufacturer... Which one do you prefer?
