One of the topics in this week's CSI challenge was "document a daily pleasure". I instantly started thinking about this dear hobby of mine.
I scrapbook mainly during the weekends and maybe some evenings during the week. Scrapbooking is still a part of my every day. I read blog posts of fellow scrapbookers, find inspiration on Instagram and chat with scrappy friends on Facebook. I come up with ideas that I want to try next. Last night I woke up and knew how I would bind my next mini book. I'm not sure if my husband was happy that I woke him up too and shared this idea with him :)

The story of friends
November 26, 2014
I finally found time to blog! I made this layout this weekend but was just able take a decent photo. It's so dark and grey here. I miss sunshine!
That's me and my cousin in that picture. We are such good friends, just like sisters.
Speaking of friends, I once again started watching Friends from the start. That's just one of the best sitcoms ever made. I have to share three famous quotes from that TV show that just make me laugh:

Scrap365: Dream, do, did
November 19, 2014
Hi there! Today I just want to pop up here quickly to show you a layout that was published in Scrap365's April/May 2014 issue. This layout reminds me that I really need to remeber to write more on my layouts. I just love how that white gel pen looks like together with that green background paper!
Speaking of writing, I've been doing that a lot lately! I'm on study leave from work this week and writing my thesis. Hopefully I will be able to finish it soon as it means more time for scrapbooking!
Materials: American Crafts, Les Papiers de Pandore, Crate Paper, Badges Folie, Sakura

The story of the day in Toronto
November 15, 2014
A few years ago we were on a trip together with my mom. We visited New York (of course!) and drove to Niagara Falls (and did some shopping on the way and bumped into a tornado!) and ended our trip with one day in Toronto. Lake Ontario was just amazing and we took a fun boat tour on that day. The scenes were so pretty and it was really a brilliant day!

Evidence: polka dots, circles, bow, rub-ons, stack something
Testimony: Inspiration word "day"

The story of the line between summer and winter
November 13, 2014
Today was my turn to post on Paperilla's blog and I shared step-by-step photos of how I create the paper layers to my layout. It's in Finnish, but I'm sure you get the idea from the pictures!
Few weeks ago we were on a walk and I just needed to take a picture of this sight. It was a cold but sunny day. The grass was frozen already but in areas where the sun touched the grass it had melted. I instantly thought that this is such a visual line between summer and winter: green grass and frosted white ground. I know which side I would take :)

The story of revisiting a special place
November 11, 2014
A couple of weeks ago we decided to visit the park where our wedding photos were taken. Over 3 years ago we were on that same place before the church. The place looked completely different now compared to that summer day. I still like this picture, it's rough but it has some light too.
I had the idea to create a layout about our journey from our wedding day to the day when this photograph was taken. I used the rub-ons from Crate Paper. Now that I look at this finished layout, the only thing I see is grey. I can promise you that the first three years of marriage haven't been grey and boring like this layout!

The story of our first road trip
November 8, 2014
Sometimes inspiration just hits. With this layout it was the inspiration picture of this week's CSI challenge. I'm so happy with how this layout turned out!
The picture reminded me of a bridal couple leaving with a car to their first journey together. I started to think our first road trip. Road tripping in California was part of our honeymoon and this picture was taken in the beginning of the longest drive. We just loved looking at the scenes while driving and listening to good music on the radio. We made so many special memories during that drive, like driving in the Sierra Nevada mountains or Highway 1 on the coast. It was such a special time for us.
This layout was created for CSI.
Evidence: leaves/branches, mist (splatters), watercolor (leaves are colored with watercolors), scatter something
Testimony: Document a trip or adventure
Materials: American Crafts, Heidi Swapp, Studio Calico, Crate Paper, Doodlebug, My Mind's Eye, Silhouette Cameo

The story of an older layout
November 6, 2014
Today I want to show you an older layout. This was published in Scrap365 Magazine's June/July 2014 issue. I think I made this in the beginning of this year. I can see bits of my current style in this layout: white space, sewing, color scheme. Usually now I use white cardstock to bring light and brightness to the layout and maybe for that reason this looks a bit too vintage for me now.
I remember the time when I made this layout. I loved those papers so much. I remember saving those chipboard pieces and I was terrified to use so many of them in one layout only. Let me say, I have come a long way from that. Looking at this layout is also a good reminder to myself that I shouldn't save my favorite supplies as probably in a six months those might not be that anymore.

The story of an autumn photoshoot
November 4, 2014
A couple of weeks ago I convinced my husband to do a small autumn photoshoot with me. It was such a beautiful day that I just had to go out and take some pictures.
I always have some silly photo ideas and poses for my husband. This time I was able to get him to throw some leaves to the air while I tried to snap a picture. That picture turned out to be a funny one as it just looks like he is waving to the camera :) I'm so happy that he plays along with my whims!

The story of love/hate relationship with autumn + video
November 2, 2014
I have a love/hate relationship with autumn. I love the colors of leaves and how the air feels so fresh. Autumn also means that weather is turning cold and we have less sunlight during the days. It means that winter is coming and I'm not a fan of winter (=cold, snow, dark days). Right now when it's early November it's already dark when I leave for work and it's dark when I come back. So if you ask me, let's skip the winter and jump right from October to April!

The story of perfect raskog cart
November 1, 2014
This week the CSI case file couraged to document a scrap space. This is a sort of an ode to Ikea's raskog cart.
Sitting in a wheelchair means some limitations. I can't have stuff on a higher shelf or near the ground. Everything should be basically in arm's reach. When you combine this to the fact that I love that my desk is clean and reasonably empty, we have a problem. Raskog cart came to rescue! Or actually I have two. I have all my most used items on the carts: little jars full of die-cuts, 6x6 paper pads, stickers, thickers, enamel dots. It's so handy and not to mention how cute the carts look like!
This layout was created for this week's CSI challenge.
Evidence: stripes, something transparent
Testimony: Document your scrap space
Materials: American Crafts, Heidi Swapp, Elle's Studio, Crate Paper, Doodlebug design
