STHLM

This is another layout with Crate Paper's Wonder collection that I got from Scrapbook Werkstatt. This summer I've been travelling a lot to Stockholm for work. The picture is one I snapped on my way from hotel to the office.  It was such a beautiful summer day!

Summer - a layout were I went overboard with embellishments

Ok, I admit, I went a bit overboard with embellishments on this one! But those chipboard elements were so cool! And even though I used a lot of them in this layout, I have so much left!

The only pieces of patterned paper in this layout are the two cut-out flowers from the fancy Pants Designs paper. Everything else is either chipboard, stickers or other embellishments.

Too much embellishments or just enough? :)

No 1 - what to do with a pack of cork numbers?

Can I be honest? At first I didn't have a clue what to do with those cork numbers! But then it hit me: if you can't hide it, embrace it. So there is almost a whole pack of cork numbers in this layout!

I actually really like the outcome. The numbers give a nice texture and contrast to this layout. Also I think it's so cool that you can make totally different kind of layouts from the same collection. This layout is a bit more masculine. Something totally different than this layout (link).

Cards with Freckled Fawn's July embellishment kit

I don't consider myself as a card maker but these cards came together so easily! I actually tried to incorporate some of the things that I normally use in my layouts to these cards. Both of these cards have white space (and white cardstock) and mist splatters. As I don't make cards that often I found it easy to go with my go-to techniques.

Sweet - layout with Paper Camellia's August kits

Here is another layout I created with Paper Camellia's August kits. I love the triangle paper from Pinkfresh Studio and decided to cut some of the triangles out of it.

I used the triangles to guide the focus to the photo and main cluster. As the colors are quite light and pastel, I added a black title to bring contrast. How cool those black glitter foam words are that were in the embellishment add-on!

Love love love - a layout where I tried to defeat my fear of circles

This layout is a combination of Crate Paper's Wonder collection and Freckled Fawn's embellishment kit. I loved those circle cork stickers from the embellishment kit and tried to defeat my fear of circles in this layout. I don't know what it is with circles but I can't use that shape on a layout!  To make the task a bit easier I used one of my go-to layout designs and finally I was able to make the circles work!

Details - layout with Crate Paper Wonder collection

Sometimes a layout just comes together by itself. I wanted to fuzzy cut some flowers from the Wild Spirit patterned paper. When I was done with the cutting I noticed that the flowers were in a nice line on my table. I instantly knew how I would design the layout and I just moved the flowers from my table to the cardstock and adhered everything.

I love the delicate feel this layout has! And those thickers are gorgeous!

Gift bag with Freckled Fawn July Embellishment kit

Today I have a different kind of project to show you! I got the Freckled Fawn Embellishment kit from Scrapbook Werkstatt and I loved the cute little sticker sheet that was included in the kit. Those little phrases were perfect for embellishing a gift bag!

This gift bag was super easy to make. The base is a normal brown paper bag and I added two Fancy Pants Designs Papers to the front of the bag. I embellished the bag with the sticker phrases and the cute flair.

I really like how this gift bag turned out and I can't wait to give it to someone special!

Remember this - layout with Paper Camellia's August kit

The starting point of this layout was that cute rubber tag from Pinkfresh Studio that was included in the Paper Camellia's August Embellishment Add-on. I literally started to create the layout around it!

I like the simplicity of a grid layout. Few strips of paper, cute embellishments and a picture: that’s it! Paper Camellia’s kits makes creating so easy!

If you look at the grid closer, you can find some structure in it. There are two diagonal lines. The line going from top left corner to the right bottom corner is mainly made out of pattern paper. The other diagonal line from left bottom corner to right top corner includes all the embellishments. I think these lines help to guide the eye through the layout.

Minibook: Discover

It's been a long time since I did a minibook, but now as I have so many pictures from our vacation I decided to shake things up and make something different. For this minibook, I used the Wonder collection from Crate Paper that I got from Scrapbook Werkstatt.

The size of this minibook is quite small: 3x3 inches. This minibook was so easy to make! It took me about an hour to complete the whole book.

Here are some pictures from the inside pages:

Hello - layout with SBW August kit

This is my fifth and final layout with Scrapbook Werkstatt's August kit. To be honest, this layout was actually the first layout I did with the kit. I loved that pink striped paper and all the fun embellishments from Simple Stories. Perfect combination with the cute photo of my cousin :)

Adventure with watercolors - SBW monthly kit

I'm not great at working with wet mediums. I hate how the paper warps with them. But when I saw this paper from KesiArt (included in the Scrapbook Werkstatt August kit) I knew I needed to pull out my watercolors! The coloring is not perfect in anyway but I like it!

Dream big

The new "In the Scrap" challenge is open and this time it's about using printables. As I had a sheet of printables already printed and cut to stickers from Cat File Store I decided to use those.

This layout is about dreaming. It is so important to have dreams and hopes. I think those actually are more like goals. I think we should work towards those dreams to make them happen. Sometimes we don't reach the goal but the journey is valuable. Maybe you can guess what I'm dreaming about :)
